Application Deadlines
The application deadline for international students is February 1st (unless you apply via an exchange programme, in which case the host and home institution set the deadline. Check with your university’s international office. All applications from exchange partners must be received by May 1 for the following fall semester, and November 1 for the following spring semester).  Applications received after these dates will not be considered for admission.

For students applying for the NORAD fellowship programme, the deadline for application is December 1st of every year. Information on the fellowship programme can be found at the nearest Norwegian embassy/general consulate and www.siu.no. The application for Norad fellowship programme must be submitted to the nearest Norwegian Embassy/general consulate within December 1st.

Norwegian Holidays
New Years's Day - January 1, All shops are closed.
Easter - The Easter holiday is sometime in March or April- the dates change. It last from Thursday to Sunday. Normally all shops are closed, except on Saturday from 0900 to 1200. A few gas stations are usually open.
Workers Day - May 1, All shops are closed.
National Day - May 17, Norway celebrates its constitution.
Christmas Eve - December 24, All shops close at 1200.
Christmas Day - December 25, All shops are closed.
Boxing Day - December 26, All shops are closed.
New Year’s Eve - December 31, shops close at 1300.
