On campus in Mørkved we have in all 4 different outlets offering a wide variety of food and beverages, put together to meet the varying nutritional needs of our students. Our main outlet is the "kantina" situated in its own building accross from Entrance B, which serves breakfast, hot and cold lunch menus, and a selection of fish or meat for dinner.
The traditional breakfast and lunch in Norway consists mainly of cold meals of bread, baguettes or rolls with different kinds of bread spreads and dairy products. Naturally, this is what you will find most of in our selections, but at "kantina" you will also find exciting hot menus, the hot soup of the day, and a mixed sallad buffet from 10:00.

The other outlets are situated in different locations throughout campus and all of them serve cold lunch menus. They have different opening hours depending on the local menus.
"Kantina"
Our main outlet is "kantina", located next to the Student Square outside Entrance B. "Kantina" is a full service outlet and offers a wide variety of hot and cold meals in addition to beverages from 8 am to 5 pm every day (Fridays 4 pm). Our dinner menus will provide you with traditional Norwegian cooking as well as more exotic courses. We serve both fish and meat every day.
"Kantina" is also a social venue and most students use the canteen as a place to take a break, socialise and study.
In addition to "Kantina", there are three smaller outlets around campus.
The coffee bar located in the central hall, is a "homemade" outlet offering a wide variety of fresh ground coffee from 8 am all week. It offers everything from straight-up strong black coffee to "Nina's Dream Cocoa". Our outlet for people "on the go" serves all beverages in take away cups, as well as exotic rolls, pizzas, chiabatta’s and focaccia’s.
Akutten, located by Entrance C, offers a self service buffet of rolls, baguettes, and optional bread spreads where you can make your own combinations. The rumours say they offer the university’s best waffles. Try them out yourself with goat cheese or strawberry jam and sour cream and find out. Akutten also offers the hot soup of the day, dairy products, mineral water, and chocolates.
Pennalet, located in the lobby of 4A, our newest outlet, opened on January 15, 2004. It opens at 8 am and offers a variety of cold meals in addition to dairy products, coffee or tea, mineral water and chocolates.

In addition to our daily menus we offer a wide range of menus for all social gatherings for students and emplyees at the university. You may celebrate your birthday or anniversary in "kantina" or "Akutten" which accomodate up to 300 people, or order catering for take away.
