The project explores three-pre schoolteacher’s cultural ethnic backgrounds through their life histories as they search to construct and negotiate professional agencies. My intended readings of the life stories are influenced of de/colonizing methodology focusing on the researched and researcher’s positions as cooperative processes. Further my readings focus on how life stories can be traced to national multicultural early childhood discourses, to offer intersection between negotiating own subjectivity and discourses of diversity, complexity and power domination. By support from poststructuralists’ theories I want to break down (deconstruct) eurocentrism and dualism discourses, and challenge ‘normativity’ discourses. By doing so, the embracing of ambiguity might open up for alternative practices within the ethnic diverse and complex early childhood education.
