Oslo University College is now teaching an international Masters degree programme in Network and system administration, in collaboration with Oslo University. All courses are taught in English and international students are encouraged to apply.

The aim of this course is to teach the theory, principles and practice of system management, including network and system design, analysis, efficiency and security. The course places emphasis on practical skills based on Unix, Windows and Macintosh platforms but teaches general principles along with their technical and ethical foundations. Courses include general system administration, core networking with extensive lab work, routing, security analysis and implementation, and culminates in a project/dissertation which amounts about 30% of the course. Students are expected to read and understand at least one research paper and explain it in a presentation to the rest of the class.
