As an exchange student at ØUC you will meet a “Buddy” upon arrival in Halden. The Buddy will help you through your first weeks in Norway. If you, as a new student at ØUC, have any questions, you can ask your Buddy.

The Buddy Scheme arranges social activities for all new students. We hope that these activities will help you find friends and make you feel comfortable in your city and at your school.

All new students at ØUC have a Buddy. In Norwegian, a Buddy is called “fadder”. There will be something going on almost everyday in the three cities Fredrikstad, Sarpsborg and Halden during the first two weeks. As an exchange student we would like you to join as many activities as possible so that you will have the possibility to make a lot of friends who will contribute to make your stay in Norway more fun.
