The library offers lending- and documentary services
to staff and students.
The collection is searchable in the BIBSYS Ask database.

Bibsys is a shared library system for all the universities 
and colleges in Norway. 
You can search the collection of HIØ or all libraries.

When you find a reference, look at the list of "owners". 
The Academy is named Høgskolen i Østfold. Biblioteket-Scenekunst
If that name is listed, we have the book. The shelf address is
behind  (e.g. HIØ/fig 791.53 Nn). 
Please observe that HIØ has 4 library units.

Request loan online:

Under each reference in Bibsys Ask, you will see the button 
"Order loan or copy of article". If the book is not on loan, 
you must come to the library and find it yourself. 
Some items can only be used in the library - with lables "Ikke hjemlån" 
You also need a library card, an email adress and a password to use this function.

Collections are:
Books, videoes, journals, music-cds, cd-rom and manuscripts. 


Note: The BIBSYS Ask database does not include articles, nor manuscripts. 
Both staff and students may suggest materials to be bought to the library.

Loans and copies of materials from other libraries are free of charge. 

Please do not ask for "academy books" at the local public library (Fredrikstad bibliotek).
But use the public library for casual reading.
