Eclipse is available for several operating systems. We do not know about any problems concerning specific operating systems, except for using Eclipse 3.1.2 on Intel Mac. We are developing on Mac Os X 10.4 and Windows XP, 2000.

Older Relase Notes
- M0001 (January 2007)
- for parameters, arrays may be specified by adding a "[]" at the end of the type name. This is a workaround as UML does not support arrays. UML will simple treat the variable being a type of "java.lang.String[]" for example.
- M0002 (January 2007)
- The code generator wizard allows to copy all project references to the source projects and their refered projects into the generated project.
- Inspectors that cause exceptions are now switched off, followed by an entry in the console and the log.
- M0005 (January 2007)
- Small improvement to the "new transition" wizard. Pressing the text next to buttons should work properly now.

- The code generator should work now.

- Ports in the structure diagram are shown without background now
- You only get a warning for an invalid Java type.
- Inspector no longer complains about ports not having a type.
- added filter to inspectors. they may now declare a stereotype that must be declared to the element of any parent of it. This helps to prevent inspectors inspecting things they shouldn't.
- introduced stereotype ramses::executable for state machines that should be translated.
- automatic application of ramses::executable to new created state machines

- removed Actor/Agent selection from the Component wizard.
- M0008 (January 2007)
- added new plugin components.inspectors to check some properties of components

- Fixed the multiplicity section so that it works properly with M to N multiplicity.
- Updated the inspector that checks guards and triggers on transitions to make sure Signal Events refer to an actual Signal.
- M0012 (October 2007)
- Puh! We did it! Ramses uses now EMF Transaction for all operations on the model.
- Ramses Core is not needed anymore
- The Ramses Nature changed, you might have to use the Ramses Project wizards on any old projects again
- Ramses needs no manifest file anymore, but reads in all toplevel files of a projects with Ramses Model Nature that end with ".uml"
- Ramses is compatible with Eclipse 3.3 Europa
