Fundamentals and their Application in Aluminium Production,
May 15 - 26, 2006, Trondheim, NORWAY
There has been a request from alumi-nium smelters for a more basic educa-tion and a more detailed introduction to aluminium electrolysis technology than it is possible to give during the one-week course: “The International Course on Process Metallurgy of Alumi-nium.” As a response we are offering a two-week course in fundamentals and their application in primary aluminium production. The course will contain fundamental knowledge and thorough understanding through lectures, written exercises and laboratory demonstrations, and practical application to industrial problems.
Silicon for the Chemical Industry VIII
Trondheim, Norway
June 12 - 15, 2006
The aim of Silicon for the Chemical Industry VIII is to teach the silicon community on Silicon Process Technology, Silicon Quality Assessment and Performance in the Subsequent Chemical Reactions. Environmental issues are also important. The different processes from quartz to silicones or electronic silicon are strongly linked, and a sustainable process is dependent on a thorough understanding of the total process. Silicon producers as well as users and academia will attend.
