Annual report

The Norwegian School of Sport Sciences (NSSS) is a Specialized University. Thus, the NSSS holds a national responsibility to provide higher education and scientific research in its corresponding fields.

NSSS operates throughout a broad range of disciplines, research areas and applied activities. However, the activities conducted at the NSSS lie within a limited focus area pertaining to the study and application of different forms of human movement activities portrayed in sports, games, physical education, outdoor life activities, dance, physical training and other forms of movement expressions.

As a whole, the NSSS is an academic institution that provides profession-oriented knowledge and proficiency through its different study programs.

The NSSS offers education and professional formation required for positions in the school system, health promotion agencies, public administration, as well as the private and voluntary sectors.
