Lending rules
Anyone above the age of 18 is welcome to borrow books from the library at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences. They can be ordered in person at the library, or through your local library or the library where you work or study.
For students at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences the student card is your library card.
- You can borrow a book for four weeks.
- You may renew a loan if there are no other requests for that particular book.
- Newspapers and journals are not available for loan. You may take photocopies instead. It is possible to buy copy cards in the library.
- All borrowers are obliged to let us know his/her new address in case of moving.
- All borrowed books must be returned if the borrower will be unavailable. You are not allowed to bring the books out of the country.
- Each borrower is responsible for all books that are borrowed in his/her name.
- In case of loss or damage you are obliged to pay compensation for it. The standard compensation fee for lost books is 250,- N.kr. plus the price of the book. It is forbidden to write notes or underline passages in the books.
- If these terms are violated, you may lose the right to borrow books or use other services in our library.
