Centre for Monetary Policy and Financial Research
The Centre for Monetary Policy and Financial Research was established in 1997 to stimulate research on monetary policy, financial markets and financial institutions. The centre was established on the initiative of Norges Bank and is financed by contributions from a number of private and public institutions. The centre's funds are used primarily to promote doctoral education in this area.
The centre was planned for a 10-year period and is currently being phased out. Due to a lack of financing, the centre will not award any new scholarships. On the other hand, the centre will continue to provide support for doctoral courses.
