Conference on monetary policy
On Friday 26 March, Norges Bank will hold a conference on monetary policy in connection with the publication of Norges Bank's Annual Report for 2003.
Introductory speeches will be given by Governor of Norges Bank Svein Gjedrem, Professor Lars E.O. Svensson from Princeton University and Professor Otmar Issing, member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank. The debate on the conduct of monetary policy in Norway will include contributions from Post Doctor Hilde Bjørnland, University of Oslo, Chief Economist Steinar Juel, Nordea markets, Chief Economist Knut Anton Mork, Handelsbanken and Professor Ragnar Torvik, Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
The approximately 100 participants at the conference will include representatives from the academic community, the financial market, the media and Norges Bank.
