The Norwegian Banking Crisis
It has been ten years since the Norwegian banking crisis ended. Although many papers have been written about the crisis, it may be time to consider the crisis in retrospect. A comprehensive, but reasonably compact description in English of the Norwegian banking crisis is, however, lacking. With this publication Norges Bank tries to fill this gap.
The publication has been edited by Thorvald G. Moe, Jon A. Solheim, and Bent Vale. It contains six chapters and two appendices, each written by different authors. Each article may be read independently of the others. Views and conclusions expressed in the various chapters are those of the authors and do not necessarily represent the views of Norges Bank.
