In connection with the conduct of monetary policy and monitoring of financial stability, Norges Bank requires data for the foreign exchange market. Norges Bank has decided to discontinue the current statistics for foreign exchange flows and considers to reorganise the statistics.
The current system is largely based on weekly stock data from selected banks' accounting systems. Further information on potential new statistics will be given later.
The last date of publication for the current statistics is 24 January 2005.
