Dates for meetings of Norges Bank's Executive Board in the first half of 2000
Norges Bank's Executive Board engages in an extensive discussion of monetary policy once a month. Any decision on interest rate changes or on the use of monetary policy will normally be taken at these meetings. The time of these meetings is 11 am. Decisions concerning interest rate changes will be announced on the same day at 2 pm.
According to plan, the Executive Board of Norges Bank will discuss the implementation of monetary policy on the following dates in the first half of 2000:
19 January, 16 February, 16 March, 12 April, 10 May, 14 June
The dates for meetings to be held in the second half of 2000 will be announced in the second quarter of 2000.
Norges Bank publishes an Inflation Report each quarter. The projections for the Norwegian economy in these reports are an important basis for the Bank's conduct of monetary policy. Norges Bank's Inflation Report will be published on the following dates in the first half of 2000:
