External Equity Management - Invitation to tender
The External Equity Management Group of NBIM invests with equity managers across the world in both developed and emerging markets. We are focusing primarily on Single Country mandates and Sector mandates. We consider Large Cap, Mid Cap and Small Cap proposals. The typical initial funding for each manager ranges from $50-$250 million.
All mandates invest in listed equity only. We consider long-only and long-biased products. Individual mandate guidelines and sizes are tailored to each investment manager. We also consider mandates without a track record and start-up firms.
The following searches are currently prioritised (as of Nov. 2007):
• South-East Asia (single country and regional)
• China
• India
• Russia
• Turkey
• Greece
• Eastern Europe (single country and regional)
• Japan Small Cap
• Global sector mandates
• US sector mandates
We also invite tenders for the following searches, which we will evaluate during Q1-2008:
• Brazil and Mexico
• South-Africa
• Continental Europe (single country and regional) Small and Mid Cap
Other applications will also be reviewed. In all cases we will contact you should we require additional information. Please do not include NBIM on performance updates or other distribution lists.
We do not consider investments in:
• Non-listed equity
• Private equity
• Non-listed Real-Estate
• Option strategies
• SRI funds
• Top-down asset allocation funds
• Balanced strategies
• Convertibles
