In my PhD, "Eco-efficiency and Performance Strategies in Construction and Demolition Waste Recycling Systems" I looked at how we can run systems and develop material companies who can ensure recycling and prolonged producer responsibility, thus facilitate that building materials will be reused as energy efficient as possible. I was using the recycling of building materials of Copenhagen (DK) and the establishment of a recycling system for C&D waste in Norway as cases.

In my Post doc my main focus will be on sustainable infrastructure , with a special focus on Material Flow Analysis (MFA) of the buildt environment, functional lifetimes of infrastructure and its sub-components, but also waste handling and environmental and economic performance of waste handling systems (Eco-Efficiency).
