Research: 
Experimental plasma physics in the Birkeland Laboratory.

• Turbulence, coherent structures and  transport in  plasmas produced in Blaamann (a toroidal magnetized plasma source). In particular, the transport generated by coherent structures has been investigated. Presently, research on plasma rotation is being carried out.

• Energies and composition of ions and neutrals in plasmas  investigated by means of  ion energy analyzers and a Hiden EQP instrument in a electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) plasma source.

• Investigation of energies and composition of plasma particles close to a metallic surface in a plasma.(description in Norwegian)
