Indigenous peoples are under heavy pressure from developments beyond their control. Their territories and natural resources are threatened, and hence, also their economies, culture and customary way of life. This book gives examples of a global empowerment process, where peoples of the Forth World claim rights to resource use and autonomy in their traditional settlement areas.
