Agder University College becomes the University of Agder:
On 1 September, 2007 Agder University College became the University of Agder. This is the result of decades of political and academic effort and the systematic development of the academic environment in the region.
International:
Internationalisation is a focus area at the University of Agder, and one of six areas that were greatly influenced by the "Quality Reform" which was introduced in 2003.
New Rector Torunn Lauvdal:
At 8 am Wednesday, August 1, Professor Torunn Lauvdal moved in to the rector's office at Gimlemoen. Agder University College's first female rector has officially begun her job.
