Language Tests

It is possible to take two language tests in Norway - TOEFL (American) and IELTS (British). Both measure English language skills appropriate to studying in an English-speaking country or on an English-language course of study. Be aware that both tests have limited test date/location availability and test centre capacity.

Register as early as possible to ensure that you are able to test where and when you need to!

• TOEFL
• IELTS

NOTE: If you are unable to take a TOEFL test by the deadline for the educational institution(s) you are applying to, ask whether they will consider accepting an IELTS test instead. Refer them to the IELTS website for more information about the test, and which other educational institutions and organisations already accept it in their area!
