Bjørn-Helge Mevik
Campus Ås har vært så heldige å få besøk av Prof. Richard D. Braatz, før
han holder årets "INDUSTRY LECTURE" i Norsk Kjemisk Selskap (NKS) i Oslo
og Trondheim.

Content:
This seminar describes examples of integrative measurement and modeling applied to two very different problems in the life sciences:
1. Applications of modeling, ATR-FTIR spectroscopy, laser backscattering, and statistics/ chemometrics to pharmaceutical crystallization.
2. "How much information can you obtain by pulling adhesive bonds apart?" The analysis of force-distance data measured from pulling many neural cell adhesion molecules apart with Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), to gain insights into the molecular structure of single molecules.
Time and place: Monday 24.oct. 2005 kl. 1015-1100 Seminar-rom 2. etg IHA, UMB
