Food Plant Group

Leader: prof. Anne Kjersti Uhlen

Fruits, berries, vegetables, cereals, oil crops and potatoes have always been important disciplines in both education and research at UMB. In our daily diet, fruits, berries, vegetables, cereals and potatoes are essential food, and nutrition experts all over the world recommend to increase the intake of plant foods. Research in our group is especailly focussed on the effect of plant diversity and growing conditions on product quality, postharvest behaviour, technological properties and health promoting plant components.
