Plant Protection and Plant Health

The group ”Plant Protection and Plant Health ” comprises the disciplines Herbology, Agricultural Entomology and Plant Pathology, and have one tenure professorship in each discipline, plus 3 adjunct professors.

Herbology
includes the biology of weeds and weed control in agriculture and horticulture, forestry and amenity areas.

Agricultural Entomology
includes studies of pests on plants caused by nematodes, insects and mites in agriculture, horticulture and amenity areas, and how we can control the pests.

Plant Pathology
includes studies of diseases on plants caused by virus, bacteria and fungi in agriculture, horticulture and amenity areas, and how we can control the diseases.
