DBH Register of publication channels
UMB get funding from the Gouvernment partly based on the amount of publications that we produce. Only publications in approved publication channels counts. ITAR is the name of the database that contains all of the publication channels that are approved. To get approval the publication channels have to fullfill the definitions of a scientific publications that are used by the UHR (The Norwegian Association of Higher Education Institutions). In relation to scientific papers the main criterium is that the paper must be in a journal with a peer review system. Papers that are not refereed will not be accepted.
Are the journals that you publish in accepted?
Do a search
here to find out.
The publications are classified as in level 1 (lowest level) or level 2 (highest level) or - (not approved).
If you cannot find your journal in the list you can send in an application to have it approved. The applications can be filed all year, but the closing date for approval of publicationchannels for the current year is 1. oct.
