Laboratory rooms

The lab is partioned in a large main lab and several smaller rooms. Five rooms contain laminar flow (LAF) benches, one beeing a biohazard bench.

Other room facileties available at PCL are:

a medium preparation kitchen

washing and autoclaving room

isotope lab

microscope room

cool room

dark room

The lab has all facilities needed for both DNA and RNA work and basic protein work.

6 PCR machines; 4 new and 2 older ones (MJ Research)

Many Gel electrophoresis systems, also for RNA-work only

The PCL is situated at SKP, here are some exampels of facileties that can be hierd at SKP:

Growth chambers at several security levels S1-S4 for gene-modified plants.

Transducer systems for continous measurement of plant growth.

10 large freezing chambers for assesment of cold hardiness in whole plants/plant parts
