Semester registration

SiT

In order to follow lectures, sit examinations, submit a thesis or use student and campus facilities, students have to register each semester. Semester Registration is via Internett: Student Web.

Semester fee
In order to register, a Semester fee has to be paid in advance to the University Foundation for Student Life in Ås (SiÅs) or to another Foundation for Student Life in Norway or in accordance with an institutional agreement of cooperation.
At www.studweb.no you can genereate a bank invoice. This is done under the heading “Payment”. There is a choice of having the invoice sent to you by post or printing the payment information and use it for instance to pay using your internet bank. Electronic payments are automatically registerd in the university´s database within 3-4 working days. The receipt for manual payments can alternativly be shown to the Student Information Centre in the Economy building who will register the payment manually.
After this you can start your Semester Registration at the Student Web.

StudentWeb
On the StudentWeb you may:

- Do the semester registration
- Change your registration
- Change your semester address
- Register your examinations
- Find your exam results
- Find your exam registrations, with the exam plan and exam location
- Get information on semester fee payment
- Change your PIN-code

Semester Registration and registration of examinations
Semester Registration is done by the Internet: StudentWeb
You can register through the internet from any computer. There are several computers at the Student Information Centre in the Economy Building where you also can ask for help.

Here is an explaination for what you need to do in order to complete the semester registration:

1) Enter your Norwegian ID number and the four-digit PIN code that is on your bank invoice. If you have forgotten your PIN-code, you may order it and it is sent to your email address if you press the button "send PIN-kode". If you have further problems, contact the Students Information Centre.

2) Generate a bank invoice using the link "payment" and pay the semester fee as explained above. This has to be paid before the 10th of September and the 10th of February respectively.

3) Register the subjects you would like to take using the link "Exam registration". The codes for the subjects you can find in the electronic course catalogue.

See more information on impartant dates here.

If, for some reason, you haven't registered in time you can apply for post-registration. Contact the Student Information Centre (SiT) for more informasjon.

4) Go to the link "study agreement". Here you should together with the student adviser of your institute have made a plan for what subjects you should take each semester. In order to complete the semester registration, you have to press the "OK-save" button at the bottom of the page. The plan may however be changed after you have "signed" it.

When you have paid the semester fee, registrated for at least one subject and confirmed your study agreement, you will after a few days receive a "semester card". This will be sent to the address you have registered as your semester address in Studweb. The semestercard is your proof of being a student and has to be shown in order to get a student discount on public transport, in the gym (GG-hallen) etc.
