Title: Genetic analysis of survival to Furunculosis and ISA challange test in Atlantic salmon.

Two of the most serious diseases in Atlantic salmon (ISA and Furunculosis) were investigated via challenge test result in this study. Data from 4 years of challenge test were used and four different models were tested and compared. Among those models, linear models, threshold models both defined disease resistance based on whether or not the fish survive testing period. Test-day models (repeatability models) on the other hand take test-day survival and censoring into account where every fish got a binary record for everyday it survived until it died or the testing finished. Different models were compared in the aspect of looking into the correlation coefficients between two half of the data or between ranks of full-sib EBVs or based on the predictive ability via Pearson goodness of fit.
