Academic Committee

FODOS

The Academic committee (AC) has developed into an important discussion forum for FODOS. Vegard Martinsen (IPM) is the current leader of the committee. Other active members have been:


Stein Joar Hegland (INA), Elisabeth Fjærevoll Olsen (IKBM), Jon Volden (IKBM). Jørn Henrik Sønstebø (INA), Mari Sundli Tveit (ILP), Mariel Aguilar Støen (INA), Ronnie Babigumira (IØR), Tina Bringslimark (IPM), Andriy Kupyna (IKBM)

AC has also played a role in making hearing statements on behalf of FODOS. AC is aiming at developing into a regular meeting place to gather all PhD-students that play an active role in the democratic organs of the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB) and FODOS.

Proposed Agenda for 2007-2008:

1. Find a new leader that has fundament in UMB or FODOS bodies, to ensure efficient leadership (this task is already completed)

2. Ensure accomplishment of start-mid-end seminars as feedback seminars

3. Work together with FODOS-board to find the best constellation for having academic discussions that can help raise new ideas for the best of PhD-students and UMB

4. Participate in the FODOS-meetings with the rector
