NIFU STEP- Studies in Innovation Research and Education

NIFU STEP is the leading Norwegian research institute for studies in innovation, research, and education. The mission of this independent social science research institute is to provide theoretical and practical insight into the dynamics of these activities, while contributing to relevant policy development.

The institute undertakes research and analysis for a number of Norwegian and international agencies and organizations. In 2004 they were engaged in approximately 230 projects for Norwegian and overseas clients. These include: The Research Council of Norway, Innovation Norway, Norwegian ministries including Trade and Industry, Education and Research, Local Government and Regional Development, The European Union, The Nordic Council of Ministers, The Nordic Academy for Advanced Study, the OECD, and the Nordic Innovation Centre.
