Electronic Exams
Are you taking an electronic exam? You will find the information you need on these pages.
Electronic exams are a priority area for UiT The Arctic University of Norway. An increasing number of UiT’s written school exams are held electronically. There are two forms of electronic school exams at UiT: either the exam is held at one of our computer labs, or students bring their own computer to the exam. The former is called LAB, and the latter is called a TAMED-exam. UiT are also working on digitizing more of the work surrounding exams.
The application used for all electronic exams is called WISEflow. Please familiarize yourself with the application before your exam. Please check whether you have to bring your own computer under ‘Exam Overview’. Do you want to read more about WISEflow? Click here or here.
Electronic exams at UiT
Currently, Fronter is used for most home examinations and coursework requirements. You will find information on these exams in the course rooms on Fronter. We are planning on gradually increasing the number of written school exams held electronically. UiT are currently adapting rooms for this purpose. We presume that students would prefer writing their exam on their own computer. As of now the rooms B.154 and Aud.Max. in the Administration building in Tromsø have been adapted for electronic exams. We are also working on ways to adapt Kultursalen in Alta. We hope to have more premises that are adapted for electronic exams ready for the exams held in the autumn semester of 2015 – both in Tromsø and at our other campuses.
