Information for exchange students/study abroad students
AAUC welcomes each year exchange students from mainly European countries - regulated through the Sokrates exchange programs. We do however also receive study abroad students from partner institutions outside Europe.
An exchange student can stay for a period of min. 3 months - max. 12 months, but most students choose to stay for one semester (Fall or Spring).
Application procedures:
All exchange or study abroad students need to have their stay abroad pre-acknowledged by their home institution. Contact your faculty coordinator or international office at your university for more information about application procedures and academic requirements.
All exchange and study abroad students must fill in our Application Form for Exchange Students and send this to us along with their transcript of records (list of courses taken at their home universities) and Learning Agreement (list of courses they wish to attend at AAUC - signed by their home institution). These documents should be sent through the home university's coordinator by the dates listed below. AAUC will make reservation for accomodation at the students' hostel, and all students must therefore inform their estimated date of arrival as soon as possible.
Deadline for students attending courses at AAUC in the Fall semester: May 1.
Deadline for students attending courses at AAUC in the Spring semester: October 1.

Exchange students with sufficient knowledge of Norwegian language can apply for attending courses taught in Norwegian, provided they meet the courses' entrance requirements as described in the course descriptions. Information regarding courses taught in Norwegian is available on our Norwegian web site, under "Studiehandbok"
