Research, continuing- and further education
Research
AAUC has a range of research activities and act in close cooperation with Moere Research Foundation and other national as well as foreign institutions. The areas of research include:
- Marine biology (including aquaculture and fish processing)
- Exports and marketing (of fish products in particular)
- Ship operation (particularly in Arctic waters)
- Safety management (at sea)
- Computer aided visualisation (connected with the nautical simulation centre)
- Nursing and health care
- Medical technology
Continuing- and Further Education
AAUC is aware that we are moving towards an increasingly knowledge-based society, and the university college has a specialised Unit for Continuing and Further Education (SEVU). This unit offers a range (60 -70) of short courses serving the needs within the private and public sector.
AAUC also offers a range of additional (4th year) courses lasting from .5 to 1.5 years.
