Students from York

Avdeling for helsefag har fått besøk frå England. Dei kom med vakker snø i slutten av januar, og skal vera her fram til 11. juni. Resten av teksten her er på utanlandsk.

They all come from York St John College,  Occupational Therapy Programme.
Longlasting cooperation between Oslo University College and York St John College, but it is only this spring that the institutions have managed to arrange students-exchange. 5 students from York to Oslo and 4 students from Oslo to York.
The students will stay at OUC for 5 months - Winter till summer.
The exchange period includes clinical practice and theoretical studies at college: Occupational Health and Elderly.
They are even attending classes in Norwegian language at OUC. They must be descendants from our vikings who, to put it nicely, first arrived in York in the year 866. What they really did was capturing the city! Our students  do look peaceful so we hope they're not thinking of any revenge.
The vikings called the city Jorvik, until the Normans renamed it York.

The students are: Sarah Knight , Caroline Dean, Manpreet Dhanjal, Berit Tveit, Rosemary Whitworth and Andrew Murphy .

Anyhow - we are really happy to have our English students with us at OUC, hopefully they will enjoy their stay.
