Student Association provides students with all their welfare requirements.
Welfare sounds like a word from the 1950s. According to the dictionary, welfare means an ‘organisation to create contentment for a group of people’. At Telemark University College SiTel has this responsibility. SiTel is responsible for everything from nursery provision to vending machines.

Student Canteens
SiTel runs the student canteens in Porsgrunn. In Bø and Notodden they are run by the State Canteen service. In Rauland the canteen is run by the academy.
Student Socials
KROA in BØ is renowned for having one of the country’s best rock events, and is the natural place for students to gather. At the STUA in NOTODDEN there are student socials, discos, concerts, student café, Friday pub, theatre and review group. ELVERHØY in PORSGRUNN is the students own activity building. Here there are socials, discos, live music, student newspaper and other activity groups.
Student Accommodation
SiTel owns and operates 865 student flats and family flats in Porsgrunn, Bø and Notodden. All flats have free internet use and rent includes electricity. In Rauland students rent privately owned accommodation, but SiTel is planning to build student accommodation.
Nurseries
SiTel runs student nurseries in Bø, Notodden and Porsgrunn, with a total of 70 places.
SiTel doesn’t have a nursery in Rauland. Vinje municipality (where Rauland is located) has a nursery for students use.
Laundrette
SiTel has a laundrette in Porsgrunn, Notodden and Bø. In Rauland the academy provides laundry services.
