This programme provides a broad knowledge into monitoring and control of all types of technical and industrial systems, based on systems and control theory and computer-based solutions. Students will learn to connect signals from real systems to computer systems, conduct advanced computations, forward control signals, and report results to administrative computer systems. The potential for managing a large amount of data quickly and over large distances allows one to utilise information from the physical system in a different way than by traditional automation methods. The study focuses on new technology, openness, and standardisation. Students with different background will to some degree follow different study courses during the first semester. During the second and third semesters, several elective subjects to choose from are available.
