Content:

This postgraduate programme qualifies candidates as secondary school teachers. It focuses on furthering students’ professional development and competence. The faculty offers subject didactics in the following subjects:
• Arts and Crafts
• Foreign Languages
• Physical Education
• Mathematics
• Music
• Science
• Norwegian
• Christianity, Religions and Ethics
• Social Studies

1st Semester
Supervised teaching practice and submission of portfolio
Pedagogy
2nd Semester
Supervised teaching practice
Subject didactics in one of two subjects (15 ECTS)
3rd Semester
Supervised individual project
Project work and submission of project and portfolio
Pedagogy (15 ECTS)
4th Semester
Three weeks’ teaching practice
Subject didactics in one subject (15 ECTS)

Teaching and learning methods:

Students will follow the full-time students’ lectures in pedagogy during the 1st and 3rd semesters, and in subject didactics in their 2nd and 4th semesters.
