Much of the subject matter is presented in lectures. Students will be able to relate the teaching to their own experiences, thus stimulating engagement and discussion. The programme includes group work in which students will prepare and present work relating to issues important to the programme, either orally or in written form. This may involve themes from the lectures, or themes which the group feel to be particularly relevant. All the courses are of two semesters’ duration.
Completion of the programme qualifies for employment in schools, voluntary organisations, public sector and other situations where the trainer role is appropriate. By completing Sports Management I successful candidates will achieve the Norwegian title Høgskolekandidat in Sport, Training and Administration. The programme may also form part of a Bachelor’s degree.
