Content

This programme combines general and specialised business studies subjects and project work in innovation and entrepreneurship. The programme will provide a solid business studies basis in addition to developing understanding of creative work. Creativity, learning and determined effort are essential in this field of study. Through group projects students gain practical experience in the decision making process. Through courses, teaching and discussion students will gain a broader perspective of the development process. Students will learn to use of models and work methods to structure important processes.

Year 1

Product Development (10 ECTS). Mathematics (10 ECTS). Business Analysis and Accounts (10 ECTS). Entrepreneur and Society (10 ECTS). Statistics (5 ECTS). Organisational Theory I (5 ECTS). Micro and Macro Economics (5 ECTS). Business Law (5 ECTS).

Year 2

Student Business Project (10 ECTS). Marketing (10 ECTS). Macroeconomic Theory and Policy (5 ECTS). Investment and Finance (5 ECTS). Business Strategy (5 ECTS). Intellectual Property Law (10 ECTS). Information Technology (10 ECTS). Elective (5 ECTS).

Year 3

Innovative Business Development (30 ECTS). Project Management (5 ECTS). Organisational Theory II (5 ECTS). Market Communication (5 ECTS). Employment Law (5 ECTS). Elective Courses (10 ECTS).

Teaching and Learning Methods:

In addition to lectures students work on a group project in each semester.The programme contains lectures by guest speakers, theme seminars and excursions both within Norway and abroad.

Careers / Further Study:

Graduates will be well prepared to develop a business idea and establish their own business. They will be able to work with development projects in the public and private sector and may continue their education at master’s level.
