F4203 Thesis

Prerequisites

3-year BSc Engineering or equivalent; year one of Energy/Environmental Studies plus relevant courses from semester 3.

Course Objectives

Through the main thesis the student shall gain experience and knowledge with regard to individual, scientific work. The student shall furthermore develop a thorough understanding of a selected topic relevant to the course of study.

Learning Methods

Supervised independent study.

Course Description

The main thesis must incorporate an experimental and/or theoretical topic. The work is to be carried out on an individual basis, even when several students work together on the same or related topics. Topics are proposed by the tutors (researchers).The students may select topics in which they are interested. In this case, the tutor will still have to assign the texts. The main thesis may be carried out at a co-operating institute or enterprise in Norway or abroad.

Thesis paper, counts 100%, all study aids permitted.
