Course Objectives
The aim of the course is to give the students knowledge about development and administration of database systems, with an emphasis on database modelling and relational databases. The students will also be introduced to tools for database administration

Lectures, tutorials and working with Case/Project.
Course Description
Topics include: SQL and the Relational Model, E-R-Modelling, Transforming E-R Diagrams into Relations, Normalization, Application Development, Database Administration and Database Management Systems.
Assessment Methods
Mandatory assignments 40%. Individual, final examination 60%.
