ECTS:
10.00
Level:
Bachelor
Duration of this Course:
1 semester

Prerequisites

Electrotechnology

Course Objectives

Electronics: Gain a basic understanding of electronic circuits, amplifiers and filters.

Programming: Acquire knowledge of, and skills in, basic principles of programming common to the majority of programming languages, using entities.

Learning Methods

The teaching and learning methods will include lectures, exercises, laboratory work and independent work.

Course Description

Electronics: Review of the common active and passive components in electronic circuits. Basic amplifiers: DC and AC models with reactive elements. Definition of terms such as frequency, response, voltage and current and power amplification.

Programming: Learn to use components (entities) and their characteristics and occurrence. The course covers the basic use of variables, slings, branching, procedures, functions and data structures. An object oriented programming language is used as a computing tool.

Assessment Methods

Continuous assessment (including laboratory exercises) 40% and final examination 60%.
