A1602 Project: Implementation of control system

Prerequisites

According to prequisites for the KIT Master study.

Course Objectives

To give students basic knowledge regarding integration of computer hardware and software in a control system application.

Course Description

The course consists of the following  topics: LabVIEW programming. Realization of a SCADA system using LabVIEW and I/O cards.Group task: Implementation of control systems for a physical process, inclusive user interface, process simulator, PID controller, low pass filters for measurement signals, and I/O to a physical process.

Assessment Methods

Mandatory project work in student group counts 50%; Individual, written final examination counts 50% of the final grade. No study aids permitted at the written examination.
