Course Objectives

 Design and analysis of digital systems and modules used in these systems. Design of counters and sequential systems. Obtain programmable logic control(PLC) programming skills and overview of programmable logic devices (PLD).

Course Description

 Design and analysis of digital systems. Insight in digital system bus structures and modules used in such systems. Design of sequential systems, counters etc. Programmable logic control (PLC) programming. Programmable Logic Devices (PLD).

Assessment Methods

 Mid semester examination 30%; final, written examination 70%. No study aids permitted.
