Course Objectives

The aim of this course is to give the students, knowledge on and skills to dimension, concrete structures as like as beams, columns, foundations, walls and plats.

Lectures, supervised problem solving and exercises.

Course Description

The course consists of the following topics:
The principles of dimensioning, design of reinforced concrete beams, columns foundation and slabs subjected to bending moment, shearing forces, axial load and combination of them in ultimate limit state and control of deformation in serviceability limit with regarding to effect of creep and shrinkage.

Assessment Methods

3 individual, written examinations during the semester count 50% and a final written examination count 50% of the final grade. Final examination must be passed.
