Give the student an overview of technological options to solve gas purification problems.Be able to select purification methods for a specific pollution problem and theoretical tools to choose processes and combinations of processes.

Course Description
Global pollution. Different effluents of particles and gases.
Purification methods for particles: Mechanical devices, wet scrubbers, filters.
Purification methods for gases: Absorption, adsorption, combustion, membranes.
Measurement of air pollution.
Assessment Methods
Individual, written final examination counts 100%. No study aids permitted
