Differential equations. Complex numbers. Students are expected to take the course PEF3006 Process Control concurrently.
Students will gain skills in practical automation techniques as well as simulation of automation systems, with applications that are relevant for electric power.
Practical automation techniques with industrial automation equipment. Data communication in automation systems. Simulation of automation systems.
Mainly project assignments in the form of lab and simulation assignments which will be carried out in groups and/or individually, but the teaching may also include lectures and self-study etc.
Individual final examination which counts for 40% of the course’s final grade. Project assignments count for 60%. Both the written examination and each of the project assignments must receive passing marks in order to receive a higher grade than F.
