Medical Technology
Medical Technology is one of our most important area of research and we coordinate the interdisciplinary research initiative within this area at NTNU. Medical Techonology is one of six major research areas at NTNU.
Health Surveys
Another important focus area at the faculty is the science related to health surveys, bio banks and other registers. The spearpoint within this effort is The Nord-Trøndelag Health Study which also serves as a basis for several other research groups at NTNU.
Basic and clinical research
We wish to stimulate research that combines clinical research on patients with basic reseach. This is our third focus area. A solid foundation within basic research is important for the development of clinical research and treatments of patients.
