Includes combustion of gases (for example natural gas), oil, biomass and waste. The activity comprises a larger group on CFD related to combustion processes. There is also a substantial activity on experimental work, where the use of laser technology is focused. Characterization of fuel is part of our work. The combustion activity has its applications within gas turbine combustors, special gas mixtures either rich in hydrogen or oxygen-enriched oxidant, gasification and pyrolysis of biomass, and advanced wood stoves.
