The study of a foreign language is the study of how culture and identity is reveiled in the literature, society, and linguistic system of that particular language. Contrastive and cross-cultural approaches make the studies especially fruitful.
The Department of Modern Foreign Langues offers studies in French, German and English at Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD level. We offer a one-year programme in Spanish and introductory courses in Italian, French, and Russian.
